Isuzu Jr High School Choral Club
The choral club has been an important part of our school's club activities since the school's opening in 1966. Throughout the years, we had the chance to win many prizes. We have also built a relationship with the area around our school and sang for many elementary schools' culture festivals and for opening ceremonies at our city's events. We do not simply sing songs, we also want the audience to feel and understand the meaning of our songs even if it is sung in a foreign language. As a group, we do our best to translate the meaning of these songs through emotions. With the help of our passionate teacher, we hope that our songs will find their way to your heart.
Conductor
Kazuko Kawamata
Born and raised in Ise. She graduated from Musashino Academia Musicae with a musical degree and a piano major. She has been working for 14 years at Isuzu Junior High School as a music teacher. Her teaching is driven by passion and love. Every year, her students join the NHK choral competition and she has lead her club to the All Japan choral competition 5 times. She also has her own choral association, "Sorciere", composed by students and former students.
