Chiba Sunhak Boys and Girls Chorus

Founded in 2006, currently around 30 members including Junior High School and High School students around Chiba city are in the choir. They are holding a regular concert every December, and additionally in 2012 they held a restoration support concert in Ishinomaki city where the earthquake hit. Their repertoire varies from music in and out of Japan, from Classic to religious, contemporary chorus music and pops. They have received high reputation by their colorful performance in music festivals in the prefecture and also by the performance in "Tokyo Disney Resort Music Festival Program" in 2016. Participated in the National Competition of the Children's Chorus Festival held by the Japan Choral Association in 2014, 2016 and 2017, and received the Gold prize for three consecutive years (2015 to 2017) in the Chiba Chorus Ensemble Contest. In March 2017, they have had their first performance in Tokyo at the Shibuya Sakura Hall.

Conductor

Keiko Sakayori

Graduated from the Musashino Academia Musicae, Faculty of Vocal Music. After graduation, she has been performing as a Soprano singer and also performed in multiple chorus programs with Orchestra, including the Yomiuri Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. Taken the position of the main conductor of the Chiba Sonaku Children's Chorus in 2006. Next year in 2007, she served as the main conductor of the original chorus and dance suite "Senkaku", a fusion of Ballet to the collaboration of children chorus, mixed chorus and the South Korean contemporary art "Samulnori". Main conductor of the NH choir since 2013. She gives lessons to many Junior, Female and Mixed choirs, by a natural vocal method and diverse singing methods.
