Men's Vocal Ensemble“Teraotoko”

The choir is a male voice choir founded in Hiroshima in 2007, led by choral conductor Nozomi Terasawa.
In 2013, it was invited to perform at the Karuizawa International Choral Festival, and in March 2015, it held a joint concert in Hiroshima with the world-famous male choir "Laulu-Miehet". In the past, they have won the Gold Prize in the Romantic era Division of the 26th Takarazuka International Chamber Chorus Contest, the Gold Prize in the Chamber Division of the 1st Tokyo International Choir Competition in 2018, and the Silver Prize in the Same Voice Division of the 71st JCA National Choral Competition in the same year.

Conductor Nozomi Terasawa

He was born in Nagano Prefecture. He graduated from the Religious Music Course at the Elizabeth College of Music. While a student at the university, he founded the Baroque Ensemble "Hiroshima Bach Soloists". Currently, he is active as a choral conductor mainly in Hiroshima. He has studied choral conducting under Timo Nuoranne and Chifuru Matsubara. He has also completed master classes with Dan-Olof Stenlund at the 7th World Symposium on Choral Music. He has led Men's Vocal Ensemble“Teraotoko” to win the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Prizes at the Takarazuka International Chamber Chorus Contest, the Silver Prize at the Fukushima Vocal Ensemble Competition, and the Gold Prize at the Tokyo International Choir Competition.
He is currently the vice president of the Hiroshima Choral Association, a regular member of the Elisabet Singers, and a part-time lecturer at the Elisabet College of Music (choral music, religious music, and choral conducting).
