Sopra il fiume
This is Saitama Prefecture's youth mixed chorus Sopra il fiume (nickname: Sopra).
In Saitama Prefecture, where choruses are popular regardless of age or gender, the group was founded in
June 2018 with the aim of becoming a group where youth generation chorus lovers can enthusiastically
work regardless of their origin. The Italian word for the group represents Kawagoe City, Saitama
Prefecture, where it is based.We aim to enjoy the music by actively pursuing the possibilities of chorus only by the members without calling a permanent teacher.
Kazunobu Kurokawa
Kazunobu Kurokawa was born in 1979 and raised in Chiba. After graduating in music education from Chiba University, he earned a B.A. in vocal music and an M.A. with music education in Tokyo University of the Arts. He has studied vocal music with Michio Tatara and Akiya Fukushima, conducting technique with Masamitu Takashina and Hidekazu Himoto, and voice training with Takashi Nagata and Kousei Hayama. He is the chief director of Matsudo Choral Federation. He is also currently board member of the Chiba Choral Association, as well as a member of the Japan Choral Directors Association and Japan Vocalization Association.
