Ko Chorus

Inspired by the choral music of Professor Ko Matsushita, Ko Chorus was founded in 2017 with the goal of cultivating appreciation of Japanese choral works in Hong Kong.
Comprised of passionate choristers from diverse backgrounds including music educators and professionals, Ko Chorus has gained recognition through various performances and collaborations with renowned musical groups such as the Hong Kong Japanese Chorus, the SAR Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra.
The choir first participated in the "This Year (今年)" Virtual Singing Project in 2017, organised by Choral Alliance of Tokyo and celebrated its fifth anniversary in 2022 with the concert, "The Music World of Ko Matsushita”, bringing together composers, choral conductors, choristers, and music lovers. Most recently, Ko Chorus was invited by the Hong Kong Wind Philharmonia to perform together with three hundred wind players in an outdoor concert by the iconic Victoria Harbour, one of the landmarks of Hong Kong.
Ko Chorus is excited to participate in its first international choral competition, the Tokyo International Choir Competition 2024, and to share its love for singing with the audience and other choirs.
