The Miracle Choir Manado - Indonesia is a vocal choir was established on March 16, 2008, under the guidance of coach Alexander Parengkuan. The Miracle Choir has followed and represented North Sulawesi Indonesia in various choir competitions at home and abroad, among others;
• Pesparawi GPdI North Sulawesi 2009 and 2010 (Champion);
• A Voice of Song- AVOS, Malaysia 2009 (Gold Medal);
• Asia Pacific Choir Games – APCG 2013 (Gold Diploma, Mixed Chamber Choir Winner Category);
• Grand Prix, 8th International Choir Festival – Thailand 2015 (Gold Medal for Gospel and Mixed Category);
• Manado Cantat, International Choir and Symposium 2017 (Gold Medal);
• 8th canta Al Mar, International Coral Festival – Barcelona, Spain 2019 (Gold Medal Mixed and Folklore Category);
In addition, the Miracle Choir was also invited to perform at the 2017 Foursquare Connection Conference – International Church of Forsquare Gospel in Washington DC, USA.
Alexander Parengkuan
Alexander Parengkuan, in 2000 he first participated in choir on campus and then founded the Student Choir of Manado State University, North Sulawesi Indonesia, and has attended various national and international vocal festivals; this day known as the Manado State University Choir. Under the guidance of Tommyanto Kandisaputra received vocal guidance, conducting and song interpretation. In 2005, first composed a choir song under the guidance of Professor Andre de Quadros and Dr. Zachariah Goh Toh Chai (Singapore), a folklore song entitled Si Patokaan. Further active in various church music activities as a trainer, pianist and composer. Trained the Miracle Choir of Manado since 2008, which previously led the GPdI North Sulawesi choir to win the Gold medal champion at the National Church Vocal Choir Festival in 2007 and the preaching of The Best Conductor. To this day, he is still active as a coach in various interdenominations of churches and in government agencies. In 2016, as Director in collaboration with Konzert Singapore under the leadership of Nelson Kwei, the Government organized the Manado Cantat International Choir Competition and Symposium.
