This chorus club celebrated its 78th anniversary in 2024. Although still in high school, our choir is eager to tackle major works such as 「Messiah」 and 「Beethoven’s 9th Symphony」, and has been participating in the "Ongakudo Messiah Future Project" , performing with professional soloists and the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2019, our choir premiered Mrs. GREEN APPLE's "Boku no Koto" (Chorus Version). The annual spring subscription concert is the culmination of our choir’s activities, and our choir is active in performances in the community as well as competitions. We have performed not only in Japanese, but also in English, Latin, German, and many other languages.
In 2024, our choir participated in the NHK Chorus Competition Kanto Koshinetsu block, and also won the silver prize at the Japan Choral Association Competition Kanto. Since the spring of 2023, we have been practicing with our teacher, Yuko Fukouji.

Yuko Fukuoji
Yuko Fukuoji graduated from the Kunitachi College of Music; Department and Major in Music Education. While in school she studied under Ko Matsushita by joining his seminar to gain knowledge of choral conducting. After working as an advisor to the Tama high school chorus club, she has been working at Shonan high school since April 2023. She is currently affiliated with the Tokyo Ladies Consort "Sayaka" and continues to study choral conducting under Ko Matsushita. Director of the Kanagawa Prefectural High School Cultural Federation Choir Specialist Club. Director of the Kanagawa Choral Association. A member of Kanagawa Chorus Conductor Club.
