Golden Sail Choir of Asia Pacific Experimental School of Beijing Normal University
The Choir of Asia-Pacific Experimental School of Beijing Normal University was founded in 1995, which was awarded the honorary title of the ‘Golden Sail Choir’ by Beijing Municipal Commission of Education in 2011. Through training and practicing, the members of the Choir have gradually enhanced individual artistic culture and cultivated the teamwork spirit as well as the harmonious team culture while performing and appreciating music. The chorus has ever visited Sweden, Denmark, Italy and other countries and regions to participate in the diverse activities, including art performances, cultural exchanges and competitions, endeavoring to introduce and disseminate Chinese traditional culture to the audiences and express friendship and love by singing. In recent years, they have won the first prize several times in the choral competitions in China and abroad.
Conductor
Yan Du
Ms.Yan Du engaged in advanced studies in Piano Performances in German Trossingen National Conservatory of Music from 2001 to 2003 after graduation from Beijing Capital Normal University in 2000. Since 2004 she has been appointed as the music teacher in Asia Pacific Experimental School of Beijing Normal University where she has successively held the positions of the piano accompanist and the conductor of the school choir.Up til now, she has achieved numerous personal skills awards and choral championships with her choir.
