Chamber Choir of the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz

The Chamber Choir of the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz was founded in 1986 on the initiative of Janusz Stanecki. The members of the team are students of Departments: Conducting, Jazz and Music Education, Composition, Theory of Music and Sound Engineering and the Instrumental Department. The choir performed in Bydgoszcz as well as in many towns in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian voivodeship, in the country, as well as abroad. Twice in the United States, Argentina, Russia, South Korea. We took part in national and international choral festivals and competitions. The latest successes of the choir include: winning the Grand Prix at the Feliks Nowowiejski International Choir Competition in Barczewo (Poland) in 2017, Grand Prix at Ohrid Choir Festival in Macedonia in 2017, or 1st place in the category "Mixed Choirs" and 3rd place in the "Folk Music" category at Busan Choral Festival & Competition in South Korea in October 2018.

Janusz Stanecki

Janusz Stanecki, conductor. In 1984 he graduated with honors from Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, Music Education Department. The following year he graduated from Instrumental Department, specialisation Accordion. In 1986 he became professor at Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. In 1988 he graduated with honors from Postgraduate Choirmaster Studies at the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz and National Culture Center in Warsaw. He has been conducting since 1982 onward. Founder and conductor of the Chamber Choir of Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music (since 1986). At present, vice-dean of Conducting, Jazz and Music Education Department at the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz. In 1999 he obtained Professor Degree in Music Art. Janusz Stanecki has been a member of jury during many national and international choir competitions. He has been honored for his multiple achievements with e.g. National Education Commission's Medal.

Conductor Magdalena Filipska

Magdalena Filipska, conductor. She graduated with honors from Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, Choral Conducting and Music Education Department and she graduated Postgraduate Choirmaster Studies. She has been honored for her multiple achievements with e.g. Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Scholarship, Bronze, Silver and Gold Badge of Honor of the Polish Union of Choruses and Orchestras. She participated in many workshops with great masters such as Peter Erdei (Hungary), Gary Graden (USA), Olga Burova (Russia), Bart Bouckaert (Belgium). She is an arranger, second conductor and president of Mandolin Orchestra “Campanella” (since 2006). In 2012 -she became an artistic director of Female Vocal Ensemble “SIGMA”. At present, junior lecturer at Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music and second conductor of Chamber Choir.
