Blue Singers Manado was founded in 2016 by alumni Blue Choir Faculty of Engineering Sam Ratulangi University Manado. The choir has received international attention and critical acclaim from overseas audiences but limited publicity in indonesia itself. Their repertoire, although widely varied in style, ace and language. Specifically emphasizes works by Indonesian composers and music from Asia Pacific and other cultures. Performances by the choir regularly include commissioned works showcasing these uniquely North Sulawesi and Indonesian traditions. The choir also occasionally participates in national and international choir competition and hold concerts in various Churches the whole year. Jimmry Mikenro Kalantow Conductor Jimmry began his career as a choral conductor with a renowned university choir in Manado, known for its active involvement in church services, concert performances, and participation in both national and international competitions. His passion for choral music and leadership has grown through years of experience leading various local church choirs. He received conducting training under the guidance of Sir Brady Allred and honed his vocal coaching skills through a choral vocal workshop led by Indonesia’s vocal maestro, Catharina Leimena. Currently, Jimmry actively trains several church and university choirs, contributing to their musical development and spiritual expression. He also continues to participate in various choral festivals at both national and international levels such as Rober Schumann Choir Competition Zwickau Germany, Busan International Choir Festival, and other. and also serving as a conductor and vocal coach with a strong commitment to musical excellence and artistic integrity.
