Choeur Premier was founded in January 2018 by graduates of the chorus club in Matsudo Dai-ichi(the first) Junior High School in Chiba, Japan. The name “Premier” means “the first” in French. The choir is based in Chiba, actively participating in choral festivals and competitions. It is composed of university students and young adults. Last year, the first independent concert was held in their hometown of Chiba and was a great success. In 2021, the choir received a Gold Prize and 1st Place at the 14th National Vocal Ensemble Contest held in Fukushima, Japan. In 2025, it was also awarded a Gold Prize at the All-Japan Choral Competition National Finals.
