Choir Nukku
合唱団 ぬっく
Japan

Founded in June 2013, the mixed choir, Nukku, is primarily comprised of university students from the Tokyo metropolitan area. The name "Nukku" means "a comfortable hideaway." Taking advantage of the benefits of being a motley choir without a central organization, the choir is a lively group of unique and fun members, singing a wide variety of songs from around the world and throughout history. While their activities center around an annual independent concert, they also enjoy a wide range of stage performances, including participation in competitions and choir festivals, and visiting schools to perform. They also actively commission composers and collaborate with performers and other choirs, developing a unique style of choir activity that is unique to Nukku.
