Golden Gate Men's Chorus
United States

Founded in 1982, the Golden Gate Men's Chorus is committed to excellence and joyous music-making; providing a supportive and nurturing atmosphere for our members' artistic and social self-expression; and sharing and expanding the rich and continuing tradition of world choral music. GGMC remains dedicated to delivering exceptional performances of men’s choral music, captivating audiences with artistry, passion, and a commitment to community. Deeply rooted in San Francisco, the Golden Gate Men’s Chorus reflects the city's vibrant cultural tapestry. Our members represent diverse ethnic backgrounds—including African American, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Latino, Vietnamese, and Western European—and span generations, from their 20s to their 80s. GGMC is committed to fostering an inclusive environment, embracing fine musicians regardless of age, creed, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. Though primarily a men's vocal ensemble, we actively champion women's involvement in vital roles such as concert producers, volunteers, and Board members.
