Hiroshima Nagisa Senior High School Chorus Club
広島なぎさ高等学校 合唱部
Japan

As our school offers an integrated junior and senior high school program, our choir usually consists of 42 members from Junior High School 1st Year to Senior High School 2nd Year. During the summer competition season, the junior high and high school groups rehearse and perform separately. In the 2024 academic year, we commissioned composer Kyoko Hagi to write a new work, “The Most Delicious Part of the Soul: Five Mixed Choruses on Poems by Shuntaro Tanikawa,” which we premiered at our March concert. In the 2025 academic year, our high school choir was awarded the Gold Prize at the Hiroshima Prefecture Choral Competition.
