Established in April 2010 as a "choir for young choristers in Nara Prefecture". The members are in their teens to thirties and work energetically. Its main activities are participating in choral festivals and various competitions, and holding concerts. They have also won the gold medal at the Tokyo International Choral Competition six times. They participated in the Grand Prix competition in the mixed choir category at the 3rd Tokyo International Choral Competition. They won the Best Set Piece Performance Award in the chamber choir category at the 6th Tokyo International Choral Competition. In recent years, they have been actively working on a wide range of choral music every day, incorporating an understanding of Japanese classical works by Saburo Takada, On Onaka, and others.Le Gland" means "acorn" in French.

Ichiro Uenishi

Mr. Ichiro Uenishi graduated from Osaka College of Music with a degree in vocal music. He He undertook studies in voice with Mr. Hirokazu Yokota, conducting with Mr. Masami Matsuo and chorus directing with Mr. Hiroki Fujii. He currently holds the position of musical director and conductor for eight choirs, including Chœur Chêne. His leadership has been recognized with numerous Gold Prizes, including the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award, at the All Japan Choral Competition with Chœur Chêne, Chor Alyssum, and Ensemble Nisi. He also leds Chœur Chêne, five prizes at the Takarazuka International Chamber Choral Competition, and first prize in all categories at the 8th Vocal Ensemble Competition.
