"Unisona Singers was officially founded in 2025, originating from the choir of Taipei First Girls High School and formed by current students and alumni. The ensemble is led by Artistic Director and Conductor Zhuo Shao Zhong-Hao, continuing the school choir's tradition while blending youthful energy with a mature musical vision. In 2024, we first competed in the Taipei International Choral Competition, winning Gold Diplomas in the Female Choir, Youth Choir, Musica Sacra, and Ethnic/Traditional Music categories, advancing to the Grand Prix as Female Choir Champion, and receiving a Special Jury Prize. In 2025, under the name Unisona Singers, we again won the Female Choir Gold Diploma and advanced to the Grand Prix. Guided by the ideals of Art, Emotion, and Innovation, Unisona Singers explores new possibilities for female choir and shares the pure human voice of Taiwan with the world."

Contemporary Music

Zhuo Shao Zhong-Hao is a choral conductor who graduated from the Graduate Institute of Musicology at Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan, majoring in choral conducting under Prof. Su Ching-Chun. The artistic work centers on youth choral education, with an emphasis on vocal development, musical understanding, and teamwork. Currently serving as Assistant Conductor of the Formosa Singers and Formosa Youth Choir, Chuo Shao has also worked as Assistant Conductor of the Taiwan Youth Festival Choir since 2018. In recent years, numerous school choirs under this leadership have achieved outstanding results in domestic and international competitions. In 2025, Unisona Singers was founded to further extend the artistic energy of school choirs. Current appointments include conductor and instructor of the choirs at Chien Kuo High School Choir, Taipei First Girls High School, Ren-Ai Elementary School, and Soochow University. The artistic philosophy, “sculpting emotion through sound,” reflects a continued commitment to choral singing as an essential platform for youth arts education.
