We are members of the chorus club at Yamagata Higashi High School. We came from a town rich in nature, located in the Tohoku region. It takes 2.5 hours by bullet train from Tokyo to get there. Clear air, delicious water, plenty of rice, fresh fruits, spreading Safflower fields.Surrounded by such mountains as Zao and Gassan.The mother liver, Mogami liver, flows gently. It was this beautiful environment of Yamagata Prefecture that helped us grow. If you look at a map, it is shaped like a human face. Our school is located just around its “ear” Yamagata Higashi High School is one of the oldest academic high schools in Yamagata. For us, chorus is like a moment to take a deep breath among the busy days we have. Every time our voices merge, the lingering sound fills our hearts, gently easing our fatigue and making us feel calm.
